It is the dawning of a new era at the Kalamazoo Kings. The Kings announce the hiring of Ed Stabile as the new field manager. Stabile, of Wesley Chapel, Florida joins the Kings after 9 years of coaching at the college level, 5 of which were as a head coach. He also played in the Chicago Cubs organization and coached the Cleveland Indians of the New York Penn League; the Indian's class A affiliate.
Stabile's impressive resume includes 175 wins in 5 years and NCAA regional tournament births in 1999, 2000 and 2001 at St. Leo University of the Sunshine State Conference.
