Brooklyn Kings News Release

BROOKLYN, NY- (March 22, 2006) The United States Basketball League's (USBL) 2005 defending Eastern Division Champion Brooklyn Kings have announced the signings of G/F Sharif Fordham (6-4, St. Johns) and F/G Toraino Johnson (6-5, Utah State).

Sharif Fordham was drafted by Brooklyn in 2002 after finishing his collegiate career with St. Johns (2000-02). Fordham also played for the Macon Blaze of the WBA in 2005.

Toraino Johnson played one season at Garden City Junior College before transferring to Utah State (2000-03). His professional career includes stops in the ABA (2004-05), WBA (2004-05) and Mexico (2003-04, 2005-06).

"Two surprisingly talented and tenacious players who should instantly upgrade our quickness and ability to rebound," said Kings Head Coach and General Manager Kenny Charles. With the Kings 2006 season set to tip-off April 21 vs. Pennsylvania, it is only a matter of time before more players come into the fold.

Although the Kings have won their division the last two years, they have failed to perform well in the Post-Season Championship tournament after going in with high expectations. The Kings will look to turn their recent history around in 2006.

Brooklyn will be hosting their final Free-Agent Tryout Camp on April 12 & 13 at Medgar Evers College. If interested in attending the camp, visit the Kings' website: www.thebrooklynkings.com.
