Dreaming of becoming a part of the Kings' royal court? The Kalamazoo Kings Professional Baseball Team is looking for local talent to add to the 2003 spring training camp roster.
The local tryout will take place this Saturday, May 3, 2003 at Homer Stryker Field. The tryout begins at 11:00 a.m. with registration beginning at 10:00 a.m. There is a $25 tryout fee. Frontier League rules state that no player in the league can be age 27 prior to the start of the season, which is Friday, May 23, 2003. Homer Stryker Field is located inside Mayors' Riverfront Park at 251 Mills St. in Kalamazoo. In the event of inclement weather, the rain date for the tryout is set for Sunday, May 4, 2003 at 11:00 a.m.
