
Kings drop physical contest to Harrisburg, 1-0

HARRISBURG, PA--In a game that saw 30 total fouls, the Cincinnati Kings lost their final road contest of the season, 1-0, to the Harrisburg City Islanders Saturday night at the Skyline Sports Complex.
The City Islanders scored the only goal of the game in the 45th minute on a penalty kick by Chad Severs. The penalty was called after the Kings' Tiest Sondaal knocked Severs down in the penalty area.
Seven yellow cards were handed out in this game, and the Kings' George Kithas was ejected for a hard foul on the City Islanders' Derek Potteiger.
Cincinnati had eight shots on goal to the City Islanders' 14, and Kings' goalie Matt Gibson was credited with seven saves while Harrisburg goalie Dave Kern had five.
The Kings now stand at 6-8-5 in the United Soccer Leagues' Second Division. The City Islanders now have a 14-game unbeaten streak, with one game to go in the regular season before they move into the playoffs.
The Kings final game of their inaugural season will be Saturday, August 13 at 7:30 p.m. against the Northern Virginia Royals at the Xavier University Soccer Complex as the Kings celebrate Fan Appreciation Night.
