ROCHESTER, MINN., SEPTEMBER 4, 2002_ The Minnesota Chill today announced the promotion of Rochester-area business veteran Karen Kiewatt to the position of ticket manager.
A member of the Chill front office staff last season, Kiewatt, who has enjoyed a nearly 20-year business management and sales career, was instrumental in the team's tremendous success at the box office in its inaugural season.
Minnesota, the 2002 USPV champion, averaged 1,880 fans in the 2,400 seat Mayo Civic Center Auditorium. The team drew four crowds over 2,000, sold out its final two home matches and averaged 2,258 fans over the last four home matches of the season.
"Karen has shown great dedication and creativity with the Minnesota Chill in our inaugural year," said Chill general manager Kevin Ruetten. "I know Karen's customer service qualities will enhance our ticket sales efforts."
The Chill will soon announce information regarding season tickets and group ticket packages for the upcoming season. The 2003 season will begin in January. The Chill will play 10 home matches.
