
Kickers and Garner Agree to Terms

RICHMOND, VA - (Friday, January 16, 2015) - The Richmond Kickers are pleased to announce that former Orange County Blues forward Eli Garner has agreed to terms for the 2015 season.
"Eli is a player we have followed for some time," commented Leigh Cowlishaw, Richmond Kickers Director of Soccer. "He has always impressed when playing against us and has considerable USL experience, goals and assists for such a young player. He was very keen to join the club and we know his speed, work rate and tactical qualities will be a great fit for our organization."
After spending one season at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill before transferring to the University of North Carolina - Greensboro, Garner was discovered at the 2012 USL PRO Combine. Making 66 appearances with the Dayton Dutch Lions over three seasons and leading the Dutch Lions to the playoffs for the first time in club history, he posted 12 goals and seven assists overall. The 5'11" native of Hillsborough, NC made a late-season move to the Orange County Blues in August 2014 where he made five appearances and added one assist.
