(ADELANTO, CA) - Dallas Keuchel allowed just four hits and one earned run in seven innings to lead Lancaster past High Desert 5-1 in the second game of a doubleheader at Mavericks Stadium Friday. The JetHawks blasted five home runs to win the early game, which was the resumption of a suspended game from April 21, 13-3.

Keuchel was sharp from the beginning as he retired the first 13 Mavericks hitters of the game before surrendering a one-out single to Eddy Martinez-Esteve in the bottom of the fifth. But Keuchel retired the next two batters he faced to end the inning.

Meanwhile, the JetHawks scored a run off High Desert starter Maikel Cleto in the top of the fourth and added three more runs in the fifth, two of which were charged to Cleto. Austin Cartwright and Lee Cruz hit RBI singles for Lancaster in the three-run fifth.

The JetHawks tacked on another run in the top of the sixth on a sacrifice fly from Ebert Rosario that plated David Flores and gave Lancaster a commanding 5-0 lead.

Keuchel (3-2) struck out six batters and earned a complete game victory in the seven-inning contest.

Lancaster wasted no time in seizing control of the opening game, which started with the bases loaded with JetHawks and two outs in the top of the second. Cartwright hit a three-run triple and the JetHawks never looked back. Lancaster received a pair of home runs from Brandon Barnes and Mark Ori, Federico Hernandez and Cruz each homered in the contest.

Patrick Urckfitz (2-2) allowed six hits and three earned runs in five innings of work to pick up his second win. With the doubleheader sweep, Lancaster improved to 23-46. High Desert fell to 36-33.
