Diamond Jaxx right-hander Ben Christensen and three relievers combined on a six-hit shutout and David Kelton homered for the fourth straight game as the Jaxx ended a seven-game losing streak with a 1-0 defeat of visiting Greenville before 3,966 Friday night at Pringles Park.

Kelton lifted the first pitch of the seventh inning over the left field wall for the game's only scoring. It was his team-high 10th homer, five coming in the last four days.

Ben Christensen worked six scoreless innings, allowing four hits, walking two and striking out six. Ricardo Palma (1-1) picked up the win as he, Ferenc Jongejan and Francis Beltran each worked around a leadoff baserunner and threw a scoreless inning. Beltran got his eighth save.

Lefty Horacio Ramirez (1-1) took the loss for Greenville, allowing only the Kelton blast in seven frames.

The Jaxx (31-36) host Greenville again Saturday night. WBBJ and Chick-fil-A present a post-game fireworks show, following the 7:05 start.
