
Kelowna Falcons Snap Losing Streak

Bend, OR: The Kelowna Falcons finally snapped their five game losing streak on Wednesday night with an 8-1 win in Bend.
The Falcons scored early and often in the series finale with all eight runs in the first four innings on route to their 14th win of the summer.
In the top of the first inning after Jace Conrad scored on a wild pitch Kyle Pearson added to his team leading RBI total with a ground out to score Tyler Qualls.
Then in the top of the second the Falcons added two more runs on RBI hits from Conrad and Qualls. The runs came after a two out error and were unearned.
A four run fourth inning would seal the game for the visitors. Pearson would record his 23rd RBI of the season with a single what would plate Conrad to begin the rally. Greg Friesen, Andrew Firth and Tucker Alexander would then follow with RBIs to put the Falcons in front 8-0.
Boomer Hermes made his first start of the year and would last 2.2 innings, scattering just three hits. Brandon Marris would come out of the pen and throw three innings, allowing one run on three hits and struck out three. Marris would record his fourth win of year.
Offensively the Falcons compiled 13 hits. Conrad would lead the charge with four hits, an RBI and three runs scored. Friesen had three more hits and finishes with 10 on the six game road trip. Alexander and Qualls also had two hits each.
The Falcons (14-10) will now head home and prepare for a three game series with the West Division Corvallis Knights (18-9) on Friday night at 6:35pm. The Falcons are 11-2 at home this season.
