Kelowna Falcons News Release
Wenatchee, WA: It took just over two hours for the Wenatchee Applesox to dispose of the visiting Kelowna Falcons on Wednesday night 4-3.
It is the third loss in a row for the Falcons who managed just five hits against three Sox pitchers.
The home side would jump out to a 1-0 lead in the second, before the Falcons scored twice in the top of the fifth. After Troy Conyers doubled, the Falcons had RBI his from Tucker Alexander and Patrick Johnson.
The lead was short lived however as the Sox would tie it in the home half off Falcons starter Cale Coshow. They would then score twice in the seventh to regain the lead.
The Falcons pushed one more across in the ninth as Kyle Person scored his league leading 29th run. The run was unearned and that`s the closets the Falcons would come.
Coshow falls to 2-2 on the season.
The Falcons (18-13) will face the Applesox (23-10) again on Friday night in Washington.
