Kelowna Falcons News Release
Prior to the 2010 season the Falcons all time saves leader was a 6'6 right hander from Central Arizona College. He spent the 2005 and 2006 seasons in Kelowna and was great out of the pen with one of the best sliders in the game. Unfortunately the Falcons offense struggled during those two seasons so this lengthy righty saw limited action.
Closing down the #4 spot on the Falcons ¬Å10 Best Pitchers of All-Time ¬Â list is Jacob Nix.
The Mesa, Arizona native spent his sophomore and junior seasons with the Falcons and compiled a 1-2 record, seven saves and a 1.38 ERA. He would appear in 30 games and threw 38.2 innings striking out 30 batters. He would allow a total of six earned runs, while the opposition hit just .208 against him.
As a matter of fact his seven saves was a franchise record until Jordan Westra broke it with 10 during the 2010 season.
Nix would graduate from Central Arizona following his junior season in Kelowna with a degree in Communications.
Jacob Nix is #4 on the Falcons 10 Best Pitchers of All-Time.
