It's been a role reversal in the first two games of the series in Wenatchee as the Falcons have outscored the Sox 16-6 after their 11-2 win on Wednesday night.

The Falcons would lead from start to finish after scoring twice in the first inning. Lead-off hitter Victor Rasor-Thompson would begin the game with the Falcons first triple of year and would score on the next pitch on an RBI single from Beau Hanowski. Later in the inning Hanowski scored on an RBI ground out by Dillon Bryant in his final game.

After Wenatchee got on the board in the second off Falcons' starter Parker Trewin, the lefty would leave because of an injury and be replaced by Boomer Hermes.

The offense went back to work in the fourth scoring a pair of runs on a balk and an RBI single from Jeff Melby. They would tally four runs in the fifth highlighted by a two out, two run single by Andrew Firth. Greg Friesen and Melby would also record RBIs in the frame. For Friesen it's his team leading 18th.

Hermes was terrific out of the pen shutting out the Applesox over 4.1 innings. He would allow four hits while striking out six and records his second win of the year.

In the seventh Firth would tally his third RBI of the game on a ground out. Then in the eighth Kyle Pearson and Ben Swinford would finish the scoring with RBI hits.

In total the Falcons pounded 15 hits and have now recorded 31 in the first two games of this series. The production is quite different from the first series of the summer in Wenatchee; the Falcons would be held scoreless in the three games.

Five players in total had multi-hit games including a 3-5 night from Hanowski. The bottom two off the order (Firth and Melby) accounted for five RBIs.

The Falcons (15-32) and Applesox (35-12) will conclude their seasonal series on Thursday night and the Falcons will look for their first sweep of the season. They will then return home on Friday to begin their final home stand of the year when they host the Kitsap Bluejackets.

With the two wins over Wenatchee the Falcons stay alive in the playoff hunt and now chase Walla Walla by six games. The Sweets won on Wednesday and will leap frog the Bellingham Bells who lost, so the Sweets sit in the final playoff spot with seven games to play.
