Kebs de Laval News Release

Québec City -The Québec City Kebs Board of Directors are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Raymond Boisvert as the new President of The Québec City Kebs.

This appointment supersedes the departure of former President Mr. Vincent Bernier, who successful drove the development of The Quebec City Kebs professional basketball club for the past three years.

This year however Mr. Bernier says, "It is with great sadness that I announced to the Board of Directors my decision to step down as President. I wanted to ensure that they had ample time to find a replacement before the start of the 2010 season." Bernier added, "My professional activities are requiring an increasing amount of travel to the United States and South America from me. It would have been impossible for me to give The Kebs the appropriate amount of time and attention required. I am very proud of all that we have accomplished in the past three years under my presidency and I have learnt a lot from my experience in running a professional sports organization in The Québec Region."

Mr. Bernier has been an Executive member of The Kebs for the past four years and will remain on the Board of Directors.

"I am grateful to Vincent for his active involvement and the time he has devoted to the club," sated Mr. Boisvert, The Kebs new President, and a prominent businessman in The Québec Region. "His experience in the development of the team and the sport in The Region of Québec is an invaluable asset. I am delighted that he has agreed to remain on the Board of Directors."

Mr. Boisvert is committed to continuing the successful efforts of Mr. Bernier in driving the development of professional basketball in The Québec Region and delivering high level entertainment. "This year we have already chosen a highly distinguished head coach, now we are focused on recruiting the best players!"

Furthermore, The Quebec City Kebs have reviewed their historical pricing and decided to reduce ticket prices to maximize the local family budgets. This season's tickets can be purchased at the price of $15 for adults, $10 for youth, $5 for children. Members of The Québec City Kebs fans club are free when accompanied by an adult.

Jean-Sebastien Roy, Vice President Marketing & Communication for The Kebs says, "We know people attend regularly, but we wanted to ensure the whole family is able to attend at an affordable price." Roy added, "This is one of the most spectacular sporting events available in The Québec Region during the winter!"

The 2010 Premier Basketball League (PBL) will be adding four new teams, including one from Puerto Rico to compete against the remaining six teams from last year for a spot in the finals. The Kebs regular season is set to begin on January 2nd of 2010; Quebec City will be hosting 10 home games.
