April 25, 2007 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Nashville Kats News Release
NASHVILLE- Nashville Kats second-year WR Alonzo Nix has been signed by the Colorado Crush off of the Kats' practice squad announced head coach Pat Sperduto.
Nix (6-1, 190 Tenn.-Chattanooga) signed with the Kats in 2005 and saw time in seven games playing primarily in the second half of the season. In 2007, Nix started the season at receiver and had 16 catches for 213 yards and one touchdown in five games played, missing time due to injury. In his total 12 regular-season games played with Nashville, Nix registered 48 catches for 731 yards and 10 touchdowns.
The Kats' next contest will be against the Dallas Desperados, Friday, April 27. Nashville competes in the AFL's Central Division, a talent-rich division that houses the past two ArenaBowl Champions (Chicago Rush 2006, Colorado Crush 2005) and added the Kansas City Brigade in a realignment change.
