
Kansas City NWSL Midfielder Joins Canada Soccer for June Friendlies

KANSAS CITY - Kansas City NWSL midfielder Victoria Pickett has been added to the Canada Soccer roster ahead of the team's two friendly matches in June. Canada will face off against Czech Republic on June 11 at 10 a.m. CT and Brazil on June 14 at 2 p.m. CT. Both matches will take place at Estadio Cartagonova in Murcia, Spain.
Pickett joins midfielders Desiree Scott and Jordyn Listro from Kansas City on Canada's 29-player roster as the team prepares for the final FIFA window ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Fans will find extended coverage across Canada Soccer's digital channels on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and Twitter featuring the social media hashtag #CANWNT.
This is the second time Pickett has been called into camp with Canada Soccer. She was previously invited to train with Canada's senior national team ahead of the SheBelieves Cup in February. Pickett has represented her country previously in the U-17 and U-20 FIFA World Cups. Pickett has appeared in all four Challenge Cup and all four regular season games for Kansas City, starting in seven of the games.
