Kansas City Command QB Voted Week 11 MVP

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Kansas City Command QB, Matt Gutierrez has been named the National Guard MVP of the Week as voted on by fans.

Gutierrez (6-4, 230, Idaho State) guided the Command to their first victory of the season in Week 11. He passed for 262 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for another in the team's 43-37 win over Pittsburgh.

Gutierrez was traded to the Command on March 31st from the Arizona Rattlers and has thrown for 1,560 yards, 27 touchdowns and rushed for another three TD's in just six games.

Other candidates for the award included Arizona QB Nick Davila and New Orleans QB Kurt Rocco.

The Command are home Saturday night at 7 p.m. (CT) to host the American Conference South leading Georgia Force (6-4) at Sprint Center. Saturday is CASH NIGHT AT THE COMMAND where one lucky fan will walk out $5,000 richer!
