
Command's Gutierrez Voted Week 11 National Guard MVP

CHICAGO - Kansas City Command QB MATT GUTIERREZ has been named National Guard MVP of the week for his performance in Week 11 of the AFL season, as voted on by fans.
Gutierrez (6-4, 230, Idaho State) earned Russell Offensive Player of the Game after leading the Command to a 43-37 victory over the Pittsburgh Power for the team's first win of the season. Gutierrez threw for 262 yards and four touchdowns in the game.
Other candidates for the award included Arizona Rattlers QB Nick Davila and New Orleans QB Kurt Rocco.
The Command (1-8) host the Georgia Force (6-4) on Saturday, May 26. The game can be seen on Ustream's "AFL Live" Viewer. Kickoff is set for 8:00 p.m. ET.
