Kalamazoo Kings Earn Post Season Award
September 22, 2009 - Frontier League (FL)
Kalamazoo Kings News Release
Kalamazoo - For the second straight year, a Kalamazoo Kings' coach earned the Frontier League's Assistant Coach of the Year. This year, General Manager Joe Rosenhagen was awarded the honor after joining the coaching staff for the second half of the season and earned the achievement based on a vote of his peers around the league. This marks the first time a coach has earned this award after only working for half a season.
Last season, Pitching Coach Joe Thomas won the award after helping the team to a league-best record. He retired after the season to spend more time with his new family.
The Kalamazoo Kings are a part of the Frontier League, a 12-team independent professional baseball league.
