(Windsor) Right-winger Justin Shugg is the Windsor Spitfires Player of the Week as selected by the Spitfires coaching staff for the week ending Sunday, January 18th. Shugg scored four goals and added one assist for a total of five points in three games, leading the Spitfires to a perfect 3-0 record last week.

Shugg recorded one assist in Windsor's 5-4 overtime win against the Owen Sound Attack on January 15th. The next night, he scored two goals, including the game-winner and was named the second star of the Spitfires' 4-3 victory against the Kitchener Rangers before finishing the week with a two-goal performance and third star selection in Windsor's 6-1 win over the Barrie Colts on January 17th.

The 17 year-old native of Niagara Falls, ON, has 15 goals and 7 assists for 22 points in 45 games played this season. He will be eligible for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.

Windsor's next home game is Thursday, January 22nd against the Sudbury Wolves, presented courtesy of The Brick and Countryside Dodge. Game time is set for 7:05 p.m. This game will be broadcast live nationally on Rogers Sportsnet and fans are encouraged to wear white to the game as well as to make signs cheering on the Spitfires!
