
June 30th Suspended Game Resumes on July 11th in Clinton

Cedar Rapids, IA - The suspended game between the Cedar Rapids Kernels and Clinton LumberKings from Monday, June 30th will resume at 5:30 pm on Friday, July 11th at Ashford University Field in Clinton. The score was tied 3-3 in the top of the 10th inning when the game was suspended by severe weather at Perfect Game Field.
Since the Kernels and LumberKings do not play in Cedar Rapids the rest of the 2014 season, the game must be resumed when the Kernels travel to Clinton to start a four game series on Friday, July 11th.
The Kernels will be the home team for the remainder of the suspended game. Thirty minutes following the conclusion of the suspended game, the scheduled game for July 11th will be played as a nine-inning game, with the Kernels as the visiting team.
The Kernels begin a three game home stand with the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers tomorrow at 6:35 pm with the gates opening at 5:30 pm. It's a Great Clips Twins Tuesday where fans can get a coupon for a buy one, get one free offer for Tuesday's game. The Kernels will wear special retro jerseys for the game and one lucky fan will win a pair of tickets to see a Twins game during the 2014 season.
