OTTAWA, ON - Ottawa Fury FC captain Julian de Guzman and midfielder Marcel De Jong were both named to the Canadian Men's National Team for the upcoming Men's International Friendly series in Austria against Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, Canada Soccer announced on Friday.

The Canada-Azerbaijan match will be played on Friday June 3 at 1:00 p.m. ET while the Canada-Uzbekistan match will be on Tuesday June 7 at 10:00 a.m. ET. Both matches will be broadcasted live on canadasoccer.com and youtube.com/canadasoccertv.

These two games will serve as preparation for the upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers in September, which will see Canada travel to Honduras on September 2 before coming back home to face El Salvador include the final match of the semi-final round at BC Place in Vancouver on September 6.

"It's always an honor to get called up to play for your country," said De Jong. "These two games are important to get us ready for our two final games in the World Cup Qualifiers. Unfortunately the timing is not great with our upcoming games against Vancouver, but I have confidence in our team to do well and make everyone proud here in Ottawa."
