Kalamazoo now enters their league-wide Holiday break period. They will not hit the ice in game action until January 6th, when they visit Springfield to face the Jr. Blues for a two-game set. Springfield ranks fourth in the Midwest division, trailing Coulee Region by only one point. Most of their offensive production comes from three players, Kyle Cook, Chris Sitler, and Josef Pontasch. Cook and Sitler lead the team with 33 points (Cook- 16 goals, 17 assists. Sitler- 12 goals, 21 assists). Pontasch comes into the games with 32 points of his own (11 goals, 21 assists). The Jr. Blues enter the weekend series on a five game losing streak (0-5-0).

Kalamazoo forward Robbie Payne has been the offensive catalyst for the Jr. K-Wings this season. On the campaign, Payne has registered 36 points (20 goals, 16 assists) leaving him in 11th in the NAHL for overall scoring.

Kalamazoo entered the NAHL Holiday Break after winning their contest against the Michigan Warriors back on December 18th. They look to follow up their eight-goal explosion, which tied a season high, against the Springfield Jr. Blues in a two game weekend series on the road.
