Jr. K-Wings Schedule Released

Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings News Release

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Jr. K-Wings, proud member of the North American Hockey League, announce their 60-game schedule for the upcoming 2012-2013 season.

The Jr. K-Wings regular season will run from September 12th-March 30th. All 24 of the member clubs in the NAHL will play 60 games (28 home, 28 away and 4 showcase contests). All home games for the Jr. K-Wings will be played at the Borgess Ice Rink at Wings West on either Saturday's or Sunday's with face-off slated for 2 p.m.

After three exhibition games against the Sarnia Legionnaires, Adrian College and Oakland University, Kalamazoo will start the season on Wednesday, September 12th during the NAHL Showcase in Blaine, Minnesota against the Coulee Region Chill. In total, the Jr. K-Wings will play four games in as many days at the NAHL Showcase.

The Jr. K-Wings will play their first home game Sunday, September 30th versus last season's North Division champions, the Port Huron Fighting Falcons.

Kalamazoo will have a balanced schedule, competing eight times (four home, four away) versus each of their divisional opponents.

The longest road trip of the season for the Jr. K-Wings will be a 10-game stretch starting on Friday, December 14th and concluding on Saturday, January 12th.

Spending the end of the season at home, Kalamazoo's longest home stand will be an eight-game stretch starting on Sunday, February 24th and concluding on Sunday, March 24th.

Season tickets for the upcoming 2012-2013 season of Jr. K-Wings hockey are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office. Fans can purchase their tickets during regular business hours of Thursday and Friday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. or by calling (269) 345-5101.
