Jr. Blues Set for Exhibition

It's time Springfield! The Springfield Jr. Blues suit up and lace the skates for an exhibition game this coming Saturday night at the Franklin P. Nelson Center. Come on out and meet the team, watch a great hockey team and enjoy great concessions.

The team will divide into two teams and drop the puck at 7:00 p.m. just like a regular season game. The referee, linesman, and music come after Mark Agnew sings the National Anthem. As an introduction to the rookies, the Nellie comes alive with the sights, sounds and game conditions they will experience during the regular season. The game conditions are real, the checking will be real and the excitement will just be an indication of the season to come, so don't miss this Jr. Blues fans.

And if you need to pass up supper Saturday night, don't worry, the concession stand will open for business. Pulled pork sandwiches, hot dogs, and nachos will be served up during the game. A new adult beverage sponsor will also be on hand for fans to quench their thirst with a wide variety to choose from, such as Coors, Coors light Corona, Stag, Killians and Blue Moon.

Then, at the end of the game be sure to stick around and meet this year's version of your Springfield Jr. Blues in a "Meet and Greet"! Stick around and meet Nick, "the Wizard", Curry, Mike, "Mad Dog" Schaber, Tanner, "Big Horn" Milliron, Joey, "Spark Plug" Purrell, Luke, "the Mouthpiece" Jenkins, John, "Lambo-Rambo" Lamorgese, C.J. "Gumby" Groh, and the rest of this year's team. This bunch of guys are the quickest most talented guys to be with the Blues in some time. They promise to be an exciting group of players this year.
