ARLINGTON, TX - Houston Gamblers defensive end Jah Joyner has signed with the San Francisco 49ers, becoming the latest player from the 2026 United Football League season to earn an opportunity at the NFL level. The signing increases the overall number of UFL players from the 2026 season to join NFL teams to 77 as the NFL begins its final week of preseason.

Joyner (6-4, 261, Minnesota) started eight of 10 regular-season games for the 2026 Houston Gamblers, recording 31 tackles, 6.0 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks and one pass breakup.

He earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors in both 2023 and 2024 and received an invitation to the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. As a senior, he started all 12 games he played and recorded 32 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, seven pass breakups and two forced fumbles.
