
Josh "Shooter" Sanderson Finishes Second in Major Series Lacrosse Points, First in Assists

TORONTO, Ont. - Playmaker Josh "Shooter" Sanderson is starring once again with the Brampton Excelsiors in Major Series Lacrosse play this summer.
At the conclusion of the regular season, Sanderson tallied 38 goals and 53 assists in 16 games for 91 points, just two behind Peterborough Laker Scott Evans.
Colin Doyle, of Waterloo, Ont., was a teammate of Sanderson's in Brampton. He finished fifth in points with 27 goals and 44 assists for 71 points in 12 games.
Blaine Manning finished in 17th in the MSL with 17 goals and 27 assists in 16 games for 44 points for Brampton.
Watson top goalie in Major Series Lacrosse
Rock starting goalie Bob "Whipper" Watson, also with Brampton, was the top goalie in the Major Series finished with a 6-3 record and an impressive 8.44 goals against average.
The Excelsiors earned a first-round bye in the MSL playoffs and will await their opponent in the Ontario semi-finals which will begin in early August.
