Joliet Slammers News Release
JOLIET, IL - The Joliet Slammers and Chicago Bandits have announced that they will once again play a "Battle of The Sexes" fastpitch softball game, on Tuesday, July 12th at 7:05pm.
Last year's game resulted in a 1-0 Bandits victory. A 1st inning run was all the Bandits needed, as their pitching staff was able to keep the Slammers from ever really threatening. This was highlighted by a dominant performance by Monica Abbott, who is one of the most decorated pitchers in the history of fastpitch softball.
The Bandits will come to Silver Cross in 2016, as defending Cowles Cup Champions, as they were able to secure their 3rd National Pro Fastpitch league title this past August.
Tickets for the 2016 "Battle of the Sexes" game are on sale now. Special group pricing and fundraiser opportunities are available for area softball teams. Teams that book a group outing will once again be invited in early?,? to be on field for batting practice.
For more information on individual tickets, or to book your group outing call the Slammers box office at (815) 722-2287.
