Join the Fort Lauderdale Strikers on Monday night for a community-building event as the team scrimmages the Caribbean Americas Soccer Association (CASA) All Star Team at Lockhart Stadium.

The friendly match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

"The Strikers want to embrace the Caribbean community in South Florida, and we see this match as a first step in developing a strong relationship," said Strikers CEO Sean Guerin. "We welcome the CASA All Star team and their fans to Lockhart and look forward to an entertaining match."

Based in Lauderhill, Florida, CASA is a non-profit organization with a mission to "link South Florida's soccer to the rest of the world by developing all aspects of the sport." CASA hosts an Open Soccer League and a Master's League from January through June.

"It's a game that we have been looking forward to for the longest while," said CASA President Richard Campbell. "This is a match that will help both organizations develop a relationship and is the first step in what we hope is a lasting partnership. We expect a competitive match and South Florida's Caribbean community will relish the opportunity for our to players to face the top team in our community."

The CASA All Star team is coached by Warren Bloise, the head coach of the Lauderhill Lions.

The Strikers embark on a 14-day preseason tour to China on February 28. While in China, the club will play a number friendly matches as well as host a tryout for Chinese players.

Fort Lauderdale kicks off the 2016 North American Soccer League season on April 2 against Miami FC at Lockhart. Season tickets are on sale now on Strikers.com.
