San Diego, CA,-Alpine soccer enthusiasts are about to get more than just a new indoor arena this month: the San Diego Sockers, San Diego's only professional indoor soccer team, will join the Alpine PAC and local fans at the grand opening of the new Becker Indoor Soccer Arena on September 12th.
The Sockers' appearance at the grand opening, to be held at the Alpine PAC (2710 Alpine Boulevard, Alpine) at 3pm, is intended to showcase the new field as well as give fans a chance to watch and interact with the Sockers' players.
"Over 800 kids play soccer in our area through AYSO and Hotspurs," said Mark Mckellar, Owner of the Alpine PAC. "We are honored to have Sockers players at this event to give demonstrations and support our youth."
Fans will have the opportunity to interact with players both on and off the field, while also enjoying the event's giveaways and raffle prizes.
The San Diego Sockers' season with the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) kicks off November 7th with a home game. Season tickets are currently on sale at the San Diego Sockers' website: www.sdsockers.com
