Join the Majors at the 14th Annual Teddy Bear's Picnic

Mississauga, ON - The Mississauga St. Michael's Majors will be attending the 14th Annual Teddy Bears Picnic this Sunday afternoon, in support of Clarkson Village's 200th year anniversary! The event will be taking place at the Benares Historic House Museum, which is located at 1507 Clarkson Road North.

The Majors hockey inflatable unit will be set up on-site from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and the Majors community events team will be on-hand to distribute free items to fans. Also, be sure to visit the Majors information table during the event for your chance to enter a draw for a limited edition, 2007-08 team autographed hockey stick! Every entry ballot received over the course of the summer will be re-entered into a grand prize draw for a pair of 2008-09 season tickets.

So come on out, and don't forget to bring along your favourite teddy bear!

The Teddy Bears Picnic, which is currently in its fourteenth year, is an annual family event that features plenty of musical entertainment, children's activities and a Teddy Bear Parade. For more information please visit the Museums of Mississauga website at www.museumsofmississauga.com.

The Majors 2008-09 regular season kicks off on the road when they visit the Barrie Colts on Thursday, September 18 at 7:30 p.m. Their home opener will take place on Friday, October 3 at 7:30 p.m. as they take on the Niagara IceDogs.
