Join The Icehawks Players At Monthly Meet & Greets

PORT HURON, Mich. - The Port Huron Icehawks will give fans access to the team with monthly events during the 2009-10 season. Join the players for a Meet & Greet at the Zebra Bar on Monday, October 19 and don't miss a monthly Icehawks Hour at Buffalo Wild Wings that will run November through March.

The six monthly events will feature all players and coaches answering questions from the fans and breaking down the past week's games and upcoming matchups. Fans will also have the opportunity to win great prizes.

The first event will be held on Monday, October 19 from 6 - 7 p.m. at the Zebra Bar at 522 Quay Street in downtown Port Huron. The meet and greet will then shift to Buffalo Wild Wings at 4355 24th Avenue in Fort Gratiot for five Tuesday dates: November 3, December 1, January 12, February 9 and March 9. Mingle with the players and enjoy great Tuesday specials at the restaurant, including Buy One, Get One Free wings, while the promotion lasts.

"We are excited to partner with these local restaurants for Meet & Greets this season," said Icehawks Vice President/Business Manager Dave Goetze. "Both locations have a lot to offer sports fans. These events will be very interactive and I think that's something the fans will respond to."

Port Huron will host the Flint Generals on Friday, October 9 at 7:30 p.m. for their sole exhibition contest at McMorran Arena. Tickets are just $5. The Icehawks open the 2009-10 regular season on Saturday, October 17 at home versus the Fort Wayne Komets.
