Brandon Wheat Kings News Release
Brandon, Manitoba -- Western Manitoba hockey fans will have a chance to talk to Brandon Wheat Kings' 17-year old center Brayden Schenn Monday night when eBrandon will host the final "Live Chat" of the 2008-2009 Western Hockey League season.
A former WHL Rookie of the Year, Schenn will be appearing LIVE from 7-8 p.m., Monday, March 9th. To join the chat, be sure to visit www.wheatkings.com or ebrandon.ca for more information.
Schenn, who currently leads the team in scoring this season with 31 goals and 84 points, will no doubt be answering questions about the club's playoff expectations, the chance to participate in the 2010 MasterCard Memorial Cup and his thoughts on the 2009 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
Monday night's "Live Chat" will conclude a busy day for the Wheat Kings, who will host their 4th Annual Home Depot Backyard Rink Scrimmage game in the afternoon. Veterans Chad Erb, James Priestner and Nathan Green will be joined by rookie blueliner Darren Bestland at the Don Lair backyard rink south of Brandon from 4:45 to 5:45 p.m.
On the ice, the Wheat Kings have three games remaining in the regular season, including two at Westman Place - Wednesday night vs. Swift Current and Saturday against Moose Jaw.
Wednesday is the second and final Rain Check game of the season, which means any unused Wheat King ticket (since Christmas) can be exchanged at the box office for a free ticket to this game (Regular Ticketmaster agency fees apply).
