
John Murray Called to AHL's Griffins

Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees News Release
The Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees announced on Tuesday that Bees goalie John Murray has been called to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League (AHL). Murray has been a star in net this season for the Bees and holds a 15-14-2 record to go with a 2.69 GAA and .919 save percentage.
Grand Rapids is in San Antonio to face the Rampage.
Murray has previously spent time in the AHL with Syracuse and Manitoba during the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons.
Murray was awarded Oakley CHL Goalie of the Week honors once this season and has pitched three shutouts.
The Killer Bees close their regular season this weekend against the Laredo Bucks at the State Farm Arena on Saturday and Sunday night. Puck drops at 7:30 on Saturday and 6:00 on Sunday.
