Joe Neves named "Voice of the Silverbacks"

(Troy.OH) - WPTW morning show personality, Joe Neves, has been named the Voice of the Silverbacks. Neves will serve as the play-by-play announcer for all Silverbacks' games, and will begin his duties on Saturday, April 1 for the team's home opener.

"We are excited to have Joe on board with the Silverbacks," commented Sue Keeton, Director of PR & Broadcasting. "He is a well known voice in the Miami Valley and brings a wealth of experience to the organization."

Neves is a 29-year broadcasting veteran. A life-long resident of the area, he's a graduate of both Piqua High School and the International School of Broadcasting. He has also been recognized locally as one of Ohio's best high school sports play by play personalities, Neves is also the general manager and morning show host for 1570 WPTW.

Neves will share the mic with Rod Hissong, Silverbacks' Color Analyst and public address system announcer, Doug Brown.
