Jets Snipe Exhibition Finale on the Road

September 15, 2007 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Fargo-Moorhead Jets News Release

(Fargo, ND) The Jets were able to put together three solid periods of play to earn a 6-3 victory over the Blizzard in Alexandria Friday night. A healthy crowd saw the veterans for both squads duke it out for 60 minutes strong. These two teams met a week prior in Fargo with Alexandria winning 6-0 and meet for the Jets' home opener on the 28th as well.

After Jens Nilsson (Matfors, Sweden) scored the first goal for the Blizzard at the 4:18 mark, the Jets never looked back after the 20 minutes of play. It took only 11 seconds into the second to get Jet's engines firing on all cylinders as Marc Harrie (Fargo, ND) notches his first of the pre season. Jordy Trottier (Bozeman, MT) tallied a beautiful unassisted goal from the beside the Blizzard net to give the Jets the lead for good.

As the game got longer the Jets got stronger getting greats play, hits and passing from one another. Anderson (Moorhead, MN), Schumacher (Duluth, MN), Brausen (Little Canada, MN) and Phillip (Thief River Falls, MN) all added goals to put the game away. On a night where nobody knew what to except, it was the leadership from years past that provided a solid performance. The FM Jets gear up for the NAHL Showcase set for the 19th at noon against the Alaska Avalanche in Blaine, MN.

The FM Jets Junior A Hockey Club is in its fifth season as members of the North American Hockey League. The NAHL is the nation's largest Junior A hockey league and is now in its 32nd year of operation. For more information, visit fmjets.com or call (701) 235-2354.
