Jets Playoff Schedule Announced

March 27, 2006 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Fargo-Moorhead Jets News Release

Fargo (ND) The Fargo-Moorhead Jets have announced the dates for their Best-of-Five North American Hockey League Central Division semi-final playoff series against their in-state rivals, the Bismarck Bobcats.

By virtue of finishing in second place, the FM Jets (34-21-3) will have home-ice advantage over Bismarck (31-23-4) which finished in third place in the Central Division.

Using a 1-1-1-1-1 format, the FM Jets will host Game 1 on March 31, Game 3 on April 7 and if needed, Game 5 on Sunday April 9 (tentative). Game 2 will be in Bismarck on April 1, and if needed Game 4 would be April 8.

All of the FM Jets' home games will begin at 7:30pm, while Bismarck's home games will start at 7:05pm

Though the FM Jets are the higher seed, Bismarck won the season series 8-4.

Two seasons ago the Bismarck Bobcats swept the Fargo-Moorhead Jets in three-straight games in the first-round of the postseason, abruptly ending the FM Jets' inaugural year. That season -much like this one - saw the FM Jets enter the playoffs as the #2 seed and Bismarck as the #3 seed.

First Round Playoff Schedule (Best-of-Five)

Game 1 Friday March 31 in Fargo, ND 7:30pm

Game 2 Saturday April 1 in Bismarck, ND 7:05pm

Game 3 Friday April 7 in Fargo, ND 7:30pm

Game 4 Saturday April 8 in Bismarck, ND 7:05pm (if necessary)

Game 5 Sunday April 9 (tentative) in Fargo, ND 7:30pm (if necessary)

The FM Jets are the 2005 Borne Cup Champions and are in their third season as members of the North American Hockey League. The NAHL is the nation's largest Junior A hockey league and is now in its 30th year of operation.

Jets home games are played at the John E. Carlson Coliseum in Fargo, ND. All games are broadcast on Today's Hot Country 103.9 THE TRUCK and fmjets.com.
