March 3, 2006 - International Basketball League (IBL)
Dayton Jets News Release
"The Dayton Jets are one of the better teams in the nation for promotions and arguably one of the top 4 or 5 in the nation in terms of talent, but when a team is not in the right size venue, they historically run into trouble" says IBL Commissioner Mikal Duilio. After a lot of prodding and pushing from IBL Commissioner Mikal Duilio to put the team in high school and college gyms, Dayton Jets owner Mark McGuire has announced a change.
The first two games for the Dayton Jets in the upcoming 2006 season will be played at: Trotwood High School4440 N. Union RoadTrotwood, OH 45426.
The other eight home game venues will be announced by February 15th. The Dayton Jets have received a few requests to come out to various high schools as fundraisers whereby the school gets a cut of the tickets.IBL Commissioner Mikal Duilio-
"Everything is lined up for the Dayton Jets; they have an efficient/affordable schedule (see next page), they open up with the IBL Champions and the next night they play again at home against the Western Conference Champions from Tacoma, they have 9 different opponents (see next page) and most importantly, they are in the right type of venues."
