Jets Beat Kenai in First Meeting
September 20, 2007 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Fargo-Moorhead Jets News Release
(Blaine, MN) - Thursday started just perfect for F-M Jets as they took care of the Kenai River Brown Bears 3-1 in the second day of the NAHL Showcase. With a sour taste in their mouth from a 54 shot loss performance to the Avalanche the day before the Jets wouldn't be stopped.
The first period saw Dittus get a power play goal and Muir come through with a special teams goal of his own, short-hander to open a 2-0 lead on the Bears. The coaching staff couldn't be more pleased with efforts all around. On an early afternoon in Blaine, when the team fired off another 47 shots things went in all the right directions and places for the first victory of the year.
The Jets will play a later contest against the Alpena Ice Diggers on Friday at 5:30pm. The game will be heard live on the new www.fmjets.com and live video from the B2 Network as well. The final showcase game is slated for a 3:15pm start on Saturday!
The FM Jets Junior A Hockey Club is in its fifth season as members of the North American Hockey League. The NAHL is the nation's largest Junior A hockey league and is now in its 32nd year of operation. For more information, visit fmjets.com or call (701) 235-2354.
Jets home games are played at the John E. Carlson Coliseum in Fargo, ND. All games are broadcasted on Today's Hot New Country 103.9 THE TRUCK, video broadcast through B/2 Network and audiosportsonline.com.
