SAN JOSE, Calif. - The JetHawks managed just five baserunners and struck out a total of 16 times in a 3-0 loss to the San Jose Giants on Friday night at Municipal Stadium.

Chase Johnson (8-3) struck out 14 JetHawks (59-58) batters over six innings of work for the Giants (58-59), allowing just one walk and three hits.

Mott Hyde collected one of just four total hits for Lancaster, extending his hitting streak to 15 games with an infield single leading off the top of the eighth inning.

With rehabbing starter Tim Hudson on the mound for San Jose, Edwin Medina gave the JetHawks their first baserunner with a one-out single in the third inning. Medina then stole second and advanced to third on an errant throw by catcher Andrew Susac, but was left stranded. Alex Bregman gave Lancaster another scoring opportunity in the fourth, leading off with a single and stealing second before the next three batters struck out.

Angel Villalona put the Giants in the lead with a solo home run to left field off Bryan Radziewski (3-6) in the bottom of the second inning. Susac added onto San Jose's lead in the sixth, following a Skyler Stromsmoe single with a two-run homer off Radziewski, who took the loss for the JetHawks.

Troy Scribner took over in relief of Radziewski with two out in the sixth and retired each of the seven batters he faced, including four strikeouts.

The series continues on Saturday with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m. at Municipal Stadium. Keegan Yuhl (3-0, 1.58) will pitch for the JetHawks opposite the Giants' Jose Reyes (3-4, 7.19).
