Jersey Flight News Release
TRENTON - The Jersey Flight today have announced the signing of Neiko Creamer. Creamer played collegiately at the University of Tennessee and Eastern Kentucky University. He spent a majority of his college career on offense at wide receiver and tight end, but Creamer's size (6'3/230) and versatility make him capable of also playing jack linebacker in arena football.
"Creamer has great size, strength, and speed. We look forward to him being very productive in our system," Flight head coach Terrence Foster said.
Creamer began his college career at the University of Tennessee and spent two seasons with the Vols before transferring to Eastern Kentucky. Creamer spent time on both sides of the ball as a linebacker and tight end during his redshirt year at Tennessee. Following his redshirt freshman season, Creamer transferred to Eastern Kentucky. He was a key contributor during all three seasons at EKU, catching a total of 79 passes for 911 yards.
Following his college career Creamer joined the Atlantic City Blackjacks of the Arena Football League in 2019. Creamer was with the Blackjacks organization for the final five weeks of the regular season, learning the game from veterans such as Warren Smith Jr.
With smaller active rosters on gameday the importance of versatility has always been a key component in arena football. Having players who can contribute at multiple positions as well as on special teams is a valuable asset for any team. Creamer is a great fit for the sport and has the potential to make plays in a number of ways. His size and quickness will be especially valuable for the offense in the red zone.
Creamer's hometown is Wilmington, Delaware. He went to high school at Eastern Christian Academy in Elkton, Maryland. He was ranked as one of the top prospects in the state of Maryland and was recruited by a number of FBS schools.
His father Andre Creamer played football at the University of Tennessee from 1984-1987, playing defensive back and returning punts.
