Jersey Express Tryout A Big Success
Published on July 22, 2008 under American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Morristown, NJ. It was a scorching hot day, even on the hardwood floor inside the gym at the Neighborhood House in Morristown NJ this past Saturday as talented athletes showed off their skills during tryouts for the ABA Jersey Express. The team is based at Drew University in Madison.
NBA veteran Jerry "Ice" Reynolds talked to the players during the tryouts and told them what it takes to be a professional player. "This was no easy session," said A.J. Banks of Morristown. "They really put us to a physical test before we even hit the floor. But it was worth it."
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
