Madison, NJ - The Jersey Express will host the division leading Strong Island Sound, on Sunday, December 9th @ 4pm at Drew University.
The Jersey Express (3-2) is currently in second place in the Blue Division, behind the Sound of Long Island (5-1). The first meeting went down to the wire, with the Sound hitting some clutch free throws to seal the victory at Suffolk CC.
This will be a playoff type game, thou it's very early in the season. The players on both teams are very familiar with each other, from playing in the various Pro leagues around NY/NJ. This is probably the longest lasting rivalry that the East Coast (Central division) has had. Both the Jersey Express and Strong Island Sound are in there third season in the ABA.
