Western Mass Pioneers News Release
LUDLOW, Mass., April 13, 2010 -The Western Mass Pioneers continue to stockpile their roster with agility, athleticism, and overall talent. One player who encapsulates all three of those is the familiar face of fan-favorite, Jay Willis.
Willis was signed last week, and will rejoin the Red, White, and Black this season as one of the team's co-captains. Jay is currently the head coach of the men's soccer team at Worcester State College and has had much success as a Pioneer in the past. Jay has been playing for the Pioneers since 2004, and made All League First Team in 2007. He is always one of the league leaders in minutes played.
"I'm excited about returning to the Pioneers" Jay stated. "I can't wait to work with the new players and teach them the Pioneers work ethic, and commitment to playing as a team."
Jay Willis will be looked to for assuming the role of an experienced mentor, leading a driving young force through their inception as a PDL franchise in 2010. Please help us welcome him back to the Pioneers, as he and they continue breaking ground in soccer dominance.
