Jackson Generals News Release

(Jackson, TN) April 11th- The West Tenn Diamond Jaxx saw their three game winning streak end on Friday night as the Huntsville Stars hammered the Diamond Jaxx 10-1 before a Friday night crowd of 1843 at Pringles Park.

Carlos Corporan and Michael Brantley had two hits and two RBI's, while Cole Gillespie and Chris Errecart homered to lead the Stars offense. The ten run night was more than enough offense for winning pitcher David Welch. Welch (2-0) allowed an unearned run on three hits over six innings to pick up the win.

The Diamond Jaxx were held to just three hits, two of them coming off the bat of Jeffrey Dominguez. Starter Arthur Rhodes, coming back from Tommy John surgery, pitched just a third of an inning. Rhodes (0-1) allowed three runs (one earned) on two hits while unofficially throwing twenty two pitches.

Game four of the five game series takes place on Saturday night at 7:05 CDT. Righty Chris Jakubauskas (0-0 0.00) gets the start for the Diamond Jaxx. Huntsville will counter with lefty Brae Wright (1-0 0.00).
