Jackson, TN (July 20th)- The West Tenn Diamond Jaxx banged out ten hits as they defeated the Montgomery Biscuits 5-3 in game three of the five game series. The win kept the Diamond Jaxx two games behind the Chattanooga Lookouts in the Northern Division.

Juan Mateo pitched six innings to pick up the win. Mateo (7-4) allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits with two walks and six strikeouts. Thomas Atlee pitched a scoreless ninth inning to nail down his 4th save of the season.

Richard Lewis, Brian Dopirak, Brandon Sing and Tony Richie had two hits each to key a ten hit attack.

Jason Cromer suffered the loss, dropping his record to 1-2 with the Biscuits. Cromer, who came into the game with a 1.06 ERA, allowed four runs (two earned) on nine hits in 3 2/3 innings of work. Matthew Maniscalco had a hit and two RBI's to pace the Biscuits attack.

Game four of the series takes place on Friday night at 7:05 CDT. Right-hander Federico Baez (2-0 2.21) gets the start for the Diamond Jaxx. Montgomery will counter with eleven game winner Jim Magrane (11-7 3.16).
