Jax to attend special screening of Rock Star: Supernova

PORTLAND, Aug. 22, 2006 - In support of Portland's own Storm Large, LumberJax players, dancers and mascot Jaxon, will be at Dante's to watch Rock Star: Supernova on CBS Tuesday night at 9 p.m. Dante's organizes a weekly screening party for Storm's most ardent fans. The bar is located at 1 SW Third Ave. Portland, OR 97204.

Jax players Dallas Eliuk, Adam Bysouth, Ray Guze, and captain Pat Jones all attended the taping of the show on Sunday, Aug. 20 in Los Angeles, CA. Managing Partner Angela Batinovich, Assistant Coach Jeremy Tallevi, and Marketing Manager Trent Nielsen were also in the audience for the performances. While in L.A., the team presented Storm with her very own customized LumberJax jersey which she wore during the taping of the show.

Before landing a spot on Rock Star: Supernova, Storm and her band, "The Balls," regularly performed on Wednesday nights at Dante's. Every week Dante's attracts over 300 fans on Tuesday and Wednesday nights when Rock Star is aired. This week, the show will be projected onto a giant screen on the main stage at 9 pm and there will be no cover charge at the door. A performance by "The Divining Rods," "Dark Skies," and "Brothers Blood" will follow the screening.

Supernova, which includes current band members Tommy Lee, (drummer for Mötley Crüe), Gilby Clarke (guitarist for Guns N' Roses), and Jason Newsted (bassist for Metallica) are in search of a frontman/woman for their new band. The three legends seek a performer who will captivate audiences and viewers worldwide. The winner will record an original album with the band, co-written and produced by Butch Walker and will also embark on a world tour starting in early 2007.
