Portland Lumberjax News Release
PORTLAND, November 14, 2007 - The Portland LumberJax have signed rookie forward Peter Jacobs to a two-year agreement, as was announced today by Head Coach/General Manager Derek Keenan.
Jacobs was a second round selection (No. 24 overall) by the Jax in the 2007 National Lacrosse League Entry Draft. He played with the Akwesasne Indians of Major Series Lacrosse's Jr. A League this past season, finishing second on the team with 46 points (27 goals and 19 assists).
"At 19 years old, Peter was the youngest player selected in this year's entry draft," said Keenan. "We were looking for some depth offensively on the left side and we think Peter will provide that. In time Peter will be a top notch NLL player."
