Portland Lumberjax News Release
PORTLAND, August, 3, 2007 - The Portland LumberJax are about to take their indoor lacrosse game outdoors for a little fun in the park. On Saturday, August 4th from 10 to 5 p.m., the Jax will appear at the Wilsonville Celebration Days' Fun in the Park. The Jax are one of the many contributing organizations who participate in this event. Mascot Jaxon will be on hand from 12-2 p.m.
Fun in the Park is a FREE "coming together" as a community-a light hearted, competition-free, all-kids-are-equal kind of gathering. In the spring of 2006, Fun in the Park received the "Ovation Award" from the Oregon Festival and Events Association for "best event in Oregon" with a budget under $150,000.
Due to the continued support of over 160 organizations and nearly 500 volunteers, this event remains FREE. For more information, please visit www.funinthepark.com.
