Jarvis Davis Rejoins af2's Carolina Rhinos

GREENVILLE, SC – The League office of arenafootball2 and the Carolina Rhinos have announced several changes to the team's roster. Fullback / linebacker Jarvis Davis, who played for the Rhinos last season, has been added to the roster. Defensive specialist Domarco Fox has been activated off the injured reserve. Wide receiver / linebacker Corey Sullivan has been placed on the I.R. Wide receiver / defensive back Jami Oates has been activated off the suspended list.

Yesterday it was announced wide receiver / linebacker Cliff Shavers, offensive specialist Nick Johnson and wide receiver / linebacker Jermaine Derricott have been activated off the I.R. Fullback / linebacker Quentin Thompson has been placed on the I.R. Defensive / offensive specialist Rod Thompson and fullback / linebacker Rasheed Culler have been released. Offensive / defensive lineman B.J. Pate has retired.

The Rhinos will host the first-year Cape Fear Wildcats at the BI-LO Center this Saturday June 15th at 7:30 p.m. in the first-ever meeting between the teams. This week's game will be the second in a row at home for the Rhinos, but it will also be their last at the BI-LO Center for three weeks. They will visit the Roanoke Steam Saturday June 22nd and the Columbus Wardogs Saturday June 29th. The next Rhinos' home game will be Saturday July 6th when they host Columbus at 7:30 p.m.

The 2-7 Rhinos enter this week's game tied with the Columbus Wardogs for third place and are five and a half games behind the second-place Macon Knights in the Eastern Division. Macon is just a half game behind the first-place Augusta Stallions. The Rhinos have lost four straight games, two apiece at home and on the road. They were beaten 45-14 at home last Friday by Roanoke.

7-2 Cape Fear is one game behind the Richmond Speed and two and a half games ahead of Roanoke in second place in the Atlantic Division. The Wildcats have won five straight games including two at home and three on the road. They beat the Greensboro Prowlers 49-39 on the road last Saturday.

John Anselmo will be in the lineup for Saturday's game. Anselmo is the winner of the team's "Rhino For A Day" Father's Day contest. He was nominated by his son Wesley.

The Rhinos will also honor 2002 Miss Teen South Carolina and 2002 Miss South Carolina Contestants Saturday. The contestants will be introduced prior to kickoff and will be signing autographs on the concourse. Fans will have a chance to vote for the "Rhinos Spirit Award", and the winner will be introduced during a third quarter timeout along with the reigning Miss Teen South Carolina and Miss South Carolina.
