James Crossman Traded at Deadline
February 7, 2019 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Odessa Jackalopes News Release
ODESSA, TX - The Jackalopes announced on Wednesday that defensman James Crossman has been traded to the Jamestown Rebels in exchange for two tenders.
The move comes on the last day for trades in the North American Hockey League. Crossman, a Brown University commit, had played in almost every game for the Jackalopes this season.
This weekend marks the final add period for teams in the NAHL before the rosters will be frozen at 11:59 pm on Sunday, February 10.
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders plus or minus any trades, which became active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft.
